Prof. P. G. Righetti received the prestigious Arnold O. Beckman Award 2012 in Geneve, during the 27th International Symposium on MicroScale Bioseparations and Analyses - 13th February, 2012

Professor Pier Giorgio Righetti was presented with the inaugural Arnold O. Beckman Award and Medal for Outstanding Achievements in the Field of Electrodriven Separations on Monday, February 13th, during the 27th International Symposium on MicroScale Bioseparations and Analyses (MSB 2012) in Geneva, Switzerland.
  He was honored for outstanding contributions to the development of new electro-driven separation techniques, for his research in proteomics and for his remarkable work with both polar and capillary electrophoresis. 
  The award is sponsored by Beckman Coulter, Inc. ** and comprises a medal, a book honoring the 100-year anniversary of company founder, Dr. Arnold O. Beckman, and a cash prize.
Prof. Righetti, author of Proteomics Today (Wiley-VCH, Hoboken, 2005), sits on multiple editorial boards, including that of the Journal of Capillary Electrophoresis. 
  Current research interests include proteomics, biomarker discovery and cancer research. At MSB 2012, Prof. Righetti delivered a plenary talk, The Proteome Argonauts: Conquering the 'Golden Fleece' of Non-alcoholic Beverages via Combinatorial Peptide Ligands.
